Glow

To the nights that turned into dawns, I present you "Glow" When I wake up, I see us flowing in my mind Along the shoreline, we are drowning in our own find I find us flowing n spinning as we walk through the trees The lights of our smiles and few sips of neat Cause your music makes me flow flow flow And dreams in our eyes glow glow glow The time when we dance to the tunes of breeze And dive into a dark cold as we freeze Do you think of it when we drink under the moonlight And see through each other on a silent night Cause your music makes me flow flow flow And dreams in our eyes glow glow Let there be no forever and let there be no goodbye These are memories in making as we keep getting high And even when I couldn't walk anymore Our flashes will linger in my mind lower Cause your music will make me flow flow flow And our dreams again will glow glow glow

Regardless Regrets

If I would ask you if you have any regrets? you would say what a generic question is that! We all have regrets. Stolen something which wasn't yours, hurt your best friend when you are specifically not supposed to, picked up the wrong sides and whatnot. We all have done things we did not want to admit or the worst which we had to admit. I remember when I was little, I had stolen 5 rs. from my mother's purse. (YES! 5 rs. was a big deal when I was little) and, of course, being a mother, she found out. (seriously, what is with these species of mothers. They should be in FBI or secret services) And when I admitted that I did, she did not even scold me but she said that she was disappointed that I couldn't ask her for the money but I felt the need for stealing. And that was the time when my regret hit me hard. It was not just about the money I stole but what I regretted the most was not asking her for the same. And that stayed with me for a long time. But the very fact that she...

The Informed Suffer

People have always told me that I should acquire enough knowledge if I want to broaden my perspective but no one has ever asked me to keep my mind away from a piece of information because it might change my perception. You know how naive we were when we thought the moon was accompanying us all around! Can you think that now? The truth is we can't unsee the things we have seen or worst, unthink the thoughts which have already crossed our minds! It's not easy to think in a certain way after knowing certain things that would affect the perception. There is a phrase in Marathi which reads "अज्ञानात सुख असतं" meaning "ignorance is bliss" and sometimes it is true. I have always found people who have been living within a certain structure of thoughts or social aspects happier. They say knowledge is the power but come on, we all have watched Spiderman! With great power comes great responsibility and so with knowledge. But now the question is, who will decide on to ...

The Settling Nomad

Some people aren't meant to settle away! These are the wanderers who find solace in their journey! Just like that, even love isn't a destination but the travel and he is the traveller. Even before I met him, I had a feeling of knowing him. Just like the way we know how to breathe and it's not even the learning. It comes from within. I knew him within from my within. He is the reason it all makes sense. He is the one, you would roam for and suddenly it makes you realise why it didn't work out before as you had hoped for. I won't say he is a Romeo to my Juliet, it has never been that cliche. But he is definitely a dream to my Nolan, a gang war to my Kashyap and a romance to my Johar! I have never been a relationship believer and commitments have always scared the hell out of me but he soothes away my fear like the rains do to the dry lands! We always believed that we will find love once we stop searching for it, maybe that's why it came to us! We weren't look...

Beyond the Curtains !!

Recently, I came across this real-life documentary film by Mira Nair called "Indian Cabaret", based on an era when cabaret dancers were living a dual life in Mumbai. Though Mumbai has always been perceived as a progressive city, one can clearly state that back then, this city was still struggling with liberalism approach and open-mindedness. Prejudices about the cabaret dancers and their mysterious, dark life were strong as ever. But, above all this, what I realised is that there will always be things which are not being told, seen or experienced but still be there, like the cabaret dancers. You might not have seen them but couldn't deny their existence. Such things are impeccable in their own ways. There is always a space, an array of canvas to be specific, beyond our perception. There are whole new sunrises, sunsets, moonlights and universes we haven't seen or heard of or experienced and explored. We will always be amazed to know that such things even exist. Thin...
