The Informed Suffer
People have always told me that I should acquire enough knowledge if I want to broaden my perspective but no one has ever asked me to keep my mind away from a piece of information because it might change my perception. You know how naive we were when we thought the moon was accompanying us all around! Can you think that now? The truth is we can't unsee the things we have seen or worst, unthink the thoughts which have already crossed our minds! It's not easy to think in a certain way after knowing certain things that would affect the perception. There is a phrase in Marathi which reads "अज्ञानात सुख असतं" meaning "ignorance is bliss" and sometimes it is true. I have always found people who have been living within a certain structure of thoughts or social aspects happier. They say knowledge is the power but come on, we all have watched Spiderman! With great power comes great responsibility and so with knowledge. But now the question is, who will decide on to this responsibility? Who will get to decide where to use the knowledge we are gaining and also how? Recently, amidst all the pseudo-war situation, we are being exposed to tons of information from reasonable, unreasonable, confirmed, non-confirmed, profitable, non-profitable sources. And I think, it is just making us more vulnerable. I support the fact that between this "Let's get on with the war" and " Say no to war", one should be well informed to take a stand but who gets to decide the parameters of 'well-informed'. And then who will decide which stand is correct and which is not. I think this is a never-ending process. All of this is either leaving us to suffer more or creating an escape for us to get away with our stagnant routines. But the crucial part of all of it that it is not happening in some parallel universe but it is a reality that we are facing closely. There might be a point in near future when we are ought to take a firm call whether it is right or wrong and I hope that time whichever side we pick to be on, we will have enough answers drawn from the information that would be reasonable for us to defy any further regrets!

Very introspective writing. It is extremely important to read. Equally important to ask questions so that we can form opinions.
